The personal projects presented in this portfolio are part of my 4 years of experience applying techniques of horticulture, permaculture, carpentry, and organic waste management (composting) in my home.
Each project includes a brief description of how I solved the problems I encountered along the way of growing my own food, as well as building spaces and the composting process to nourish and create a healthy soil structure.
I have categorized the process with my main achievements and skills acquired from each one. At the end of each project, you will find a gallery with photos as part of the results.
Since 2019 (to date), I have been composting organic waste in my home and have been growing 1/3 of my food since 2019.
After traveling the world and becoming more aware of the current problems we face in our environment, it made me rethink how I could do good for the planet, reduce my carbon footprint, waste, and explore all the benefits of having an urban garden at home with different cultivation methods.
I decided to reorganize the space of my 8 square meter garden and dedicate some of my time to learning horticultural techniques.
These three projects challenged me to learn new skills in carpentry, soil, aesthetics, irrigation, and growing food in small spaces.
